Join a very important conversation at Dweb Camp 2023

This year, Fight for the Future is hosting multi-day sessions at Dweb Camp with abortion and gender affirming care funds from the Carolinas, Texas, Idaho, and more. This is an alliance-building effort intended to provide unprecedented “market research” for your privacy-preserving projects and ideas.

We are calling on all tech teams, privacy-preserving projects, and activists who want a world with more tech that is useful to frontline activists to participate. Please commit to our sessions Thursday and Friday to learn and collaborate directly with frontline activists.

What is happening when?

On Wednesday, we will host a Bodily Autonomy table at the welcome cocktail reception from 5-6 PM. Come and meet our participating organizations!

On Thursday from 11-12:30 in the Mycelium Pavilion, we will be hearing from abortion and gender affirming care orgs on how they provide resources to their communities, what tools they use to do it, and what they wish they had. There will be a lightning Q&A.

On Friday from 11-12:30 in the Mycelium Pavilion,, we will turn the tables and invite dweb participants to ask the question “Is this useful?”, presenting tools, solutions, and ideas to a panel of frontline activists.

On Saturday, we will collaboratively host unconference sessions surfacing the questions that come up during the event.

And during the whole event, these activists will be with us. We ask the dweb community to be good, proactive, engaged hosts—seek out these activists for not only focused conversations, but fun. We need stronger relationships between tech and activism, and there’s no better place to build them than at dweb camp!
